Minimum CD
At the 2021 US DevOps Enterprise Summit I participated in a multi-day discussion around the definition of CD (Continuous Delivery). Bryan Finster started us off with a rough draft of his ideas and we built it into a manifest.
There are a number of signatories and we are looking for feedback and reviews still. This is not meant to be an exhaustive list of all the things you could do for CD, rather the bare minimum that we all agree meets the definition.
A number of people have asked us about testing, we purposely left it out as not all organisations will require testing to meet their internal definition of done. And that’s OK.
